EGGciting
News...
Kreek Kids sponsored
their quarterly family fun night on Friday, March 4th
that was everything it was cracked up to be! Since Easter came
early this year, this event had an Easter theme that created
a lot of fun and EGGcitement for AC3 families and
their friends. Mary Magdalene, a Bible celebrity who
was one of the first to visit the empty tomb, was the video game
show host for the evening. The game players featured Mr. Bunny, Mrs.
Bunny, Baby Bunny and the ever popular Easter Turnip.
(Yes, there is an Easter Turnip:)
Two audience teams were formed that competed in
Fear Factor style challenges that revealed the REAL Easter
story. There was a bread eating contest, a cross walk, a
dress up the king challenge and many more challenges. The challenges
built up to the EGGstra good news of the empty tomb,
symbolized in the finale and empty golden egg.
Each family stuffed colored Resurrection Eggs throughout the competition
that revealed the Easter story. The eggs were then collected and
hidden for a unique flashlight egg hunt. After
the show, activity stations included the flashlight egg
hunt, a basket making station and a food court where families
ate bunny munchies and could make
Resurrection Croissants together. Each child went
home with a goodie bag which included a special coloring book
and the eggs that they had found during the hunt.
Kreek Kids also had a special
drawing for a Family and Friends Movie Pack valued at $50.00.
The big winner of the prize was Jessieanna Campbell and her
family.
Kudos to Jenny Arlt, the
event leader, and her faithful team of parents and volunteers
for making it an EGGcellent family event!
The next family and
friends event is currently scheduled for Friday, May 6th
and will be an in-house movie night on the ‘really BIG’
screen, Kreek Kids style. So be sure to mark the date on your calendar now!

EGG
Facts
Did you know...
A
fresh egg will sink in water but a stale one won't.
White
shelled eggs are produced by hens with white feathers and
ear lobes. Brown shelled eggs are produced by hens with
red feathers and red ear lobes.
Chickens
do not begin to lay eggs until they reach 20 weeks of age,
then they will lay about 245 eggs per year.
China
produces most eggs, at about 160 billion per year. In the
US, about 260 million hens produce more than 65 billion
eggs per year. A hen can lay about 250 eggs per year.
Eggs age more in one day at room temperature than in one
week in the refrigerator.

Elementary
Curriculum ~ 1st - 5th Grades
Monthly Themes (10:30AM)
'Kids Zone' is designed to present Christ in an exciting and
meaningful way, building around a weekly or monthly theme. The Kidz Zone curriculum,
created by Jericho Junction includes a variety of learning elements such as crafts, games,
story telling, adult and student-led dramas, puppets and music.
One way to help your child
is to review their weekly Bible verse and the books of the Bible they are currently
learning. Your child will bring a worksheet and
Bible verse home each week. When you can, help put into practice what they have learned as
a whole family. 1st-5th graders can earn Kreek Kids Bucks to
spend on the Second Sunday of each month. Ask Trina
for details!

newsletter is used to highlight children's activities and to communicate with families
attending AC3 on a quarterly basis.
We'd also like to make it a place where families and teachers can share ideas and learn
from one another. We invite you to make this newsletter even more effective by
contributing your own creative articles. Send them our way at youth@ac3.org.
